Swapping Navigator steering wheel controls?

As I hunt for a Navigator, I'm finding quite a few that have worn steering wheel controls (primarily the volume button). I've found a few (new and used) switches, ranging from $65-$150 so the parts are out there. My question is: how difficult is it to swap the controls? I've searched both here and Google and don't come up with much for the 2nd gen Navigators and only a couple threads for other Ford trucks.

Takes less than an hour to do. You disconnect the battery to kill power to the airbag system, then remove the steering wheel pad and the switches are right there, connectors and all.

Very good to know (and also more ammo when trying to talk a seller down).
