Found a 78 short bed.
Hi all, just looked at a short bed, not the whole truck. Very rust free, a few dents, dual gas doors, no chrome ever. The owner wants a $1000 for it.I know how hard it is to find these in good shape, so my question is it worth it? Ya I know I,m going to get a lot of mixed ideas on this. Thanks for all suggestions.

There used to be a JY in my area that got dents all the time. Rust free, dent free were common, they sold them for $75. A local guy found out about them and bought every one they had. He priced them at $1,500 +\- depending on condition and sold them like hot cakes.
Point is, there may be better deals out there, but to me that price is not obscene. I would pay $1,500 for a mint, perfect short bed.

Well damn, I was going to tell you to buy it and I would come get it from ya! Lol I am not sure you could be farther from Florida unless you lived in Alaska. But n
