Flareside Bed Value
I'm planning on looking at a flareside bed today that is for sale. Assuming it is mostly rust-free, what would this thing be worth? It is complete minus bed wood.

Well reproduction is about 2500 so rust free originals are rare.

Yeah, I'll let you know. I didn't make it out to look at it today. Gonna go tomorrow hopefully.

This brings up a good question, how rare are the Flaresides?

I have all the pieces but I'm not sure I want to use it, I'm leaning more towards a styleside but good luck finding one of them! If anyone has one I might trade.

If you consider that a tale gate is $400, each fender will run you about $350 and the side are not available (I do know someone that can build them) I would say it is worth at least $1500 or more.

Well, guess it doesn't matter as far as this bed goes, he sold it before I could see it. The discussion has been helpful though.

Looks like they have 1972 and back only
I looked at one in conn with some rust repairable for $100 about a month ago
