I'm doing a rebuild: having heads redone, smog bumps removed, will put in early gear set. Question is would a mild dual pattern crane "192" cam be worth installing since I have stock exhaust manifolds? I mean would it be better than stock cam since stock is a square duration pattern or does a stock cam have dual pattern?
Also would raising the compression to 9 to 1 be a benefit with everything else pretty much stock?
Dont want to put headers on and half to redo exhaust pipes-just trying to make it more like pre 72 motors while I have it out.
Basically would more compression be more beneficial or would it b a compromise like you have said putting in a mild cam would be w/o installing headers?
