300 i6 coilsprings vs 5.0v8 coilsprings
im fairly new to the F-series world. ive owned my 1995 f150 xlt for a little over 2 years, but just now began to work on it. i bought the truck with no engine, it was originally a 300 i6 5 speed. i swapped in a 5.0v8 out of another '95 to keep efi over the last couple weeks, and now that i have the engine in and have drove the truck the front suspension seems to be sagging letting the front wheels camber out. my question is are the i6 coils springs weaker than the v8 springs? are there difference in the shocks? i have searched all over the interwebs and have came up empty handed, any help is greatly appreciated.

Yes and no. Ford used several springs depending upon wheelbase, options, 4x4 vs 4x2, engine, etc. So it's possible that the 4.9 and 5.0 have the same springs and it's possible they have different ones...
From what I remember, the CC818 is the basic, standard duty, no AC short box spring. The CC820 is the standard long bed spring, the CC822 is the heavyduty replacement and the CC824 is the HD F250 and F350 spring that some people have crammed into their 4x4 F150's for a bit of extra lift.
You're springs are probably sagged out and you'll be looking at either the 820 or 822 IMO.
They're all MOOG numbers.

if it helps any, the truck is a short bed 2wd. i have the donor truck that i pulled the engine from still and its a 2wd long bed. would it be worth my while to try swapping in the longbed springs before buying new? also the donor truck didnt seem to sag like the one im fixing up, is there a way to tell if the springs are the same>? different? before pulling them

I figured that out long ago, I have owned several bronco IIs over the years and actually drive one daily. Have for years now, the f150 does get noticeably worse after being reversed but this truck seems to be stressed even after driving forward for a long distance. It's not extreme neg camber but definitely noticeable, and will probably wear the tires inner edge the way it sits. I still have to check the wheel bearings , ball joints etc. ASAP since I have just got the truck mobile after it sitting for a couple years
