Y'all asked

New 1A Auto Towing Mirror 1

New 1A Auto Towing Mirror 2

so here are the pics. Note the chrome cover, it comes with two covers - the one shown and a black one. The black one can also be painted to whatever you want.

That looks really nice on there!!! Good to know that it comes with the two covers also. I presume they are held on with double-back foam tape...

You're getting to be an old-hand at this picture posting here!

This is my 1Aauto upgrade. I went with stock. They fit my wallet better.

No tape, they just snap/pop in place.

After seeing this thread I'm interested in putting a set on my 2001 F450 that are like my 2014 F250.
I've got the stock telescoping trailer tow mirrors on the 2001, but I'm thinking that the glass might have more surface area and the lower mirror give me a wider view to see a 7x18 enclosed trailer behind the F450. It's an old cable company truck with a splicer box on back. Essentially a big cube that you can step into, so there's no way to cheat and turn around and look through the rear window when backing to the blind (passenger) side.
Thanks for the link to 1A Auto and the photos.

This should be obvious but it never dawned on me until just this evening (my first night -time use of these new mirrors). A much larger mirror surface also means (at night) a greater amount of headlights in them.

I'd suggest, if possible, you get the electric adjustable ones, so you can easily tip them outward of these bothersome lights when not needed.

Electric won't be an option for my 2001. It's an XL with no powered options. But the truck is used in my seamless gutter business and is very seldom driven at night.

Mine is also the plain Jane XL and will see very little night time use. But for most members here - generally with the higher trim levels - I would encourage them not to skrimp a few $ on this item. Night driving is tiresome when you've got all these reflections bouncing back at you.

I went for a set of eBay specials for $188/free shipping. 99 15 Ford F250 Super Duty Towing Manual Mirrors Pair Side Tower No Amber Light | eBay
Plenty good enough for a seasonal work truck. Plus, I had good luck with an electric set from eBay that I put on a 2013 F150 I used to own.

I seriously considered those very eBay mirrors. What steered me however was the actual users recommendations.

Post pics -and your experience with them, please. Let the next guy have an informed choice between them.

Will do. They aren't due here until 11/28. The truck is also not being driven for the winter months and I can't get it inside either of my garages with the boom height. But I may tackle installing them outdoors if we get a nice day in the near future.

I haven't changed a set on a sd, but if they are like any other non electric mirrors I have changed then it shouldn't be more than popping the cover off, taking 3-4 nuts off and then put the new one back on the same way. 10 minute job at most, so bundle up and go get us some pics
