Hi all:
Does anyone have an idea what would cause a 5.8 in a 92 F150 rev to about 3 grand? I put this 93 5.8 in a few years ago and it was fine for a while then this happened so i just disconnected the IAC motor and it was ok after a minute of warming up, so i finally got around to changing the IAC figuring this was the problem and it turns out this is not the problem....any help is greatly appreciated
Thanks, Scott
My '94 did that a few years ago and it was the throttle position sensor. If you unplug the IAC and the idle slows down it is a sensor according to information posted here a short time ago. I suggest any sensors be replaced with genuine Ford parts.
