Hey guys, hate to be that new member that starts off asking questions (prolly better than my first post being a "for sale" though)...so sorry in advance. I've learned a lot by lurking, used that advice to keep my 3 trucks on the road. '86 F150 (bought new), '98 F150 4x4 (bought new, my DD) and my '02 F250 Crew PSD 4x4 (bought new).
So my '02 just rolled over 100,000 and in appreciation, I crunched the right front pass door up against one of the many oak trees in my front yard. 3 AM trying to get on the road with an 12T trailer. Looking for a door to swap out and not wanting to involve insurance company. I know I can use a door up to '07. Can I use a door from an '08? I found a mint one in my color for 300 bones on the opposite coast of FL, and I can get it here for free. I have the electric mirrors (Lariat) but the motors died years ago, so I adjust it manually. I know I'll need my panel, switches and that splicing will be required. But will the door fit and will my mirror mount up? My Google Fu is usually pretty good, but I'm mainly finding threads about older 1/2 tons, and then all of the mirror swap info.
Welcome to FTE, or at least congratulations on becoming a poster instead of just a lurker.
You might post this in the appropriate truck forum. You may find somebody there well versed in what fits what. I know in the '87-'96 forum we've got a number of members that can rattle off the interchanges off the top of their heads.

Reason: typo
posts some pics of the damage, i get a kick outa that stuff.
Of the truck or the tree LOL? First scratch / dent in 15 years, kinda ruined me morning. Trees coming down today, I've got 5 acres of oaks. But I can tell ya, the tree made out better the Ford, at least until I take the Stihl to it later.

Done
TY, I initially had my question posted up there but deleted it and moved it down here. Didn't want to make a noob mistake and get flamed for putting it in the wrong spot.
All's good. I don't think anybody would flame you for it. We just try and point people to the area where they are most likely to get the correct answers.
