I sure hope you don't have any pets.
I have a Pit Bull/Greyhound mix that has seperation anxiety issues. If I put her outside and don't let her back in right away, she will stand at the back door and drool to the point that she's foaming at the mouth and there is a puddle of drool on the patio. I got her at the shelter when she was about 3 months old, so I assume that's where the problem started. When I leave the house, I put her in her kennel and she's absolutely fine with being in there all day long. But if I leave her outside for 10 minutes, the patio is a lake.
Ah relax. Putting an animal down is a last resort to me. Then again I for one do not mind a messed up floor or a shredded rug. I do have sympathy and understanding. By the way I own a 66 lb. blk/white pit bull that would probably help a robber clean out my place. It's all in how you raise them. I'd say try to find the best home for the dog.
