So confused on forums

Seems I'm always told I'm in the wrong place, under the wrong heading or asking/commenting on the wrong topic. :-(

Could someone direct where I should be for the following:

I just purchased a 1987 E-250 Ford Fiesta Camper Van. I use to restore hot rods, but now I want to restore this. I just love everything about it. I want the correct place where I can ask questions (Oh, so many questions)about it, and/or share discussions. Anyway, I'm new on here and wanted to introduce myself, say hi, and hopefully be of help to others.

Well there's a van specific forum a little farther down the page, but our chassis is the same as yours so there is still good info in this forum for you when it comes to that.

As far as the RV part of it, I know there are folks that restore RV's, probably more likely to find a dedicated site for RV stuff than one on FTE, there's just sooo many makes and models of RV it's tough to know who built what or used part x in which model without having a community that is really into old RV's.

I think you'll have to divide the vehicle into pieces, forum wise. The chassis and drivetrain stuff would seem to fit in the 1968-2013 Full Size Vans - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums area. Anything specific to the engine itself I'd post in the appropriate engine specific area under the Performance, Engines & Troubleshooting - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums area. RV specific things? You could try the Towing, Trailers & 5th Wheels - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums area under Misc. - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums. I'd also tend to post specific sub-topics under the appropriate are of the Misc. - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums. For example, questions about brakes I'd post in the Brakes, Steering, Suspension, Tires, & Wheels - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums.

I think you'll find that as long as the question you are posting is somewhat germane to area you're posting in you'll find folks that are more than willing to help.

Yeah, ain't it though.

Having as many members as FTE does they pretty much need to have lots of sub forums. OTH that can make it hard to figure out where to post something.
