So after a few hours of struggling to get the stock stabilizer off, I finally got the RS5000 on! It makes a huge difference IMO, and was noticeable right away. I still need to get an alignment, but I think this will definitely fix my steering issues. Actually putting the 5415 took about 5 minutes, it was just the corroded OEM bar that was a PIA!

So the 5405 is the stabilizer used in the dual mount setup, with the non-OEM Rancho bracket. If I'm correct, one end is just a straight bolt with no bushing, so you will not be able to mount that in the OEM position unfortunately. Amazon screwed up, you need the 5415 if you're looking to replace the factory stabilizer.

As for the 7415, that is an option but not required for the F-350. The 7000 series is a newer product line with a true monotone design, but works best in a dual system, not as an OEM replacement as I mentioned above (got told that by a Rancho rep). When you go on their site, go the 5000 series page first, then plug in your vehicle. It'll give you the specific part numbers you need. Hope that helps!

thanks lwg, have come to that conclusion too...

and you are correct - I opened the box and it's a straight bolt on the one end...

so back it goes.

Around 6 years ago I went through the same nonsense with wrong part numbers for a steering stabilizer for my '05. I would have thought that Rancho sorted this out by now. Bilstein 5100 is the way to go!

If anyone was wondering, I actually switched from my Rancho RS5000 to a Bilstein 5100 last week. The Rancho just wasn't doing it for me, and didn't feel much different from stock. I love their shocks, just not their stabilizer!

My issue was not with rancho, it was with the supplier on amazon...

Red face

I hear about these once in a while and that frustrates me. A lot of times they are just looking for the unit sell.
My thoughts on this, is if you have a level on your truck run a dual monotube stabilizer setup. We (along with others) make these.

I totally agree, if I had the extra 2" I would've run the dual setup in the first place. And that's really interesting about Amazon, both of my stabilizers have come from there in the past month without any issues.

OK so I have the Heavy Service Front Suspension package on my new F350 4x4 SRW crew. This raises the front but it isn't quite level. I am installing a Readylift 1.5" under coil spacer. Will the dual monotube system work? And if so, what part number(s) do I need?

I did the dual stabilizer from Rancho on my 05. It is a snow plow package,so it sits a little highe, and I have bigger tires. I really noticed a difference in the snow we had in MD. I would hit a pile of snow and the wheels would stay straight. Smoother on the highway as well.

05 up trucks they say you need a 2" lift for the dual stabilizer kit. Now i have the single stock on my truck and it leaked and thenni replaced it with a basic monroe stabilizer. Didn't notice a difference either way, then i felt like i wanted a look change so i installed a dual skyjacker kit on my 2004 F350, i didn't notice any difference till winter when I swear its harder to turn, could be two shocks with thick oil from the cold or it could just be the typical Ford weak steering system who knows. I will say i just actually bent the passenger stabilizer into a U this weekend from crashing through a frozen water puddle under the snow that was half the size of my ext cab shortbed. Ice was nearly two inches thick and i assume when the axle crashed through all the force was taken by the stabilizers and thats why i bent the one? So a quick adjustible wrench and off she came so i could pull my kids around the firld on a big tube. Now on my truck the dual kits sit at the same spot as stock just two instead of one so in my case the stock setup would have bent also, so im going to see if i can make brackets that raise the stabilizers or buy a different brand that mount different

OK well I got the HD Service front suspension which seems to add at least 1.5" and a 1.5" coil spacer so I am good with at least a 2" lift?
