51 horn button

I need a horn button for my F1. Seems all the online stores are back ordered. I want to buy a new steering wheel, but not if I can not find the button to go with it. Truck is being restored, so it must be in good shape.
I know they are not especially pretty.

B2TZ-13A805-A .. Horn Button - 1948/52 all / Reproduced.

If all the 'online' stores have it on back order, there's only one source they're all buying it from. It's probably Carpenter.

CA repro parts sellers: Sacramento Vintage Ford - Early Ford Store (San Dimas) - C&G Ford Parts (Escondido) - Blue Oval Truck Parts (Anaheim) - Truck & Car Shop (Orange).

Another source: Bob Drake Reproductions (Carson City NV).

horn button quest

still searching. So far I have contacted: Sacramento, Midwest Early Fords, The Early Ford store, C&G, Blue Oval, Dennis Carpenter and Classic trucks. All are out of stock. I am wondering if another year horn button will fit the original steering wheel. Or maybe another vintage large steering wheel. I really do not want to go to a smaller diameter, aftermarket or modern. Especially with the old manual steering box.

Be patient! They'll do a production run and you'll be able to grab one.

Try Antique Auto in TX -- 817-275-2381
Very good to deal with

I have a new one but still can't get the old one off. I have pushed down and turned counter clockwise so many times but to no avail. It came with the truck, in the glove box, previous owner must not have been able to get the old one off either. I don't mind dealing with the hard stuff, it's the impossible that kinda gets to me.

Mine came off, but it was because I did not know what I was doing and a forced it. Now, I need a new one. It's not like a Mustang.
