I have bought a 1972 f600 dump truck with the axle code 54d. Does anyone know what axle this is?

Welcome to FTE

54 = Rockwell model H170 Single Speed Rear Axle / 6.83-1 / 17,500 lbs. Rear Axle Capacity.

D = Ford Rockwell (Timken) Front Axle / 7,000 lbs. Front Axle Capacity.
