Oil pressure when revving engine??

Hello- my truck oil pressure at warm idle is about 15psi. As I rev the engine, how much should I see it climb???
Thanks in advance for any response!

For comparison, I see about 60 psi at idle when the engine is cold. Once fully warm (well beyond when the thermostat opens) I'm about 22 psi. Revving the engine will get me back to 50 or 60 psi.

Does rise quickly when you rev engine? Mine goes rises quickly like a speedo. Just put in a mechanical gauge and wondering if this is normal?

Generally speaking oil pressure should be around 40 psi at 2000 rpm when the engine is warm.

Agree 40-50 PSI revved up would be typical. 15 psi at hot idle is OK.

Ok. And it rises and falls in direct correlation with rpms? In other words quickly just like the tach??

At lower RPMs, yes.

At high RPMs ..... not so much.
