If you already have the tranny installed, you're in luck! Measure from the end of the tranny to the center of the yoke at the rear end. Make a drawing if you have to. When the driveshaft is made, it'll be a reference point for the fabricator. The driveshaft will be a different length, due to the motion of the suspension and the torque of the engine. Yes, spend the extra money and use everything that pertains to the E4OD tranny. Is the driveshaft available from the donor truck? It must be a SWB or LWB? If you have the short wb and can get the driveshaft from the long wb, the fabricator can have it shortened and balanced in no time. To fab a new one, will cost about 125.00. To shorten one, is about half that, with new U-joints installed. Good luck ....
