I bought a set of Good Year Wrangler Adventurer with Kevlar a couple months ago. Not only was my Ford dealer cheaper they also gave me a Ford loyalty discount because I get my oil changed there. The 4 tires mounted and balanced $972, then $146.68 in loyalty rewards, another $60 off for using a Good Year Credit card, and another $60 off mail in rebate for a grand total of $705.32. Tire barn would have been more for SRA's which are a cheaper tire.
That's a deal if I've ever heard of one! Holy smokes!
I've had BFG Long Trails on a couple of trucks. They wore decent and weren't real bad in snow. It's also a plus that BFG is now part of Michelin. That might explain why they are a great tire for the $. I have Rugged Trails on my SD and love them. Great tire for the $. Not noisy either.
Looks like it is good on a many brands. I didn't go to the dealer to check it out. The credit card thing kind of sucks. I had to get a good year one to get my rebates. For $70 I'll get a credit card, use it once and cancel it. I don't like the mail in-rebates either, but I'll do it for $70. Actually my dealer sent mine in so no effort on my part was required.
One thing that I didn't realize was that there are two Long Trail T/A tires that will fit the F-150. I have the Long Trail touring on my Expy which are totally for highway use and have a completely non aggressive tread design.
I did see that the Long Trail T/A Radial will also come in the 265-70-17 size. I love that tread pattern with the deep wide grooves. I now consider myself to have one more option that I like. Good price point, nice tread design, good for wet weather but maybe not so great for snow.
