Gauge Questions

Does anyone have a 4 pillar gauge set mounted and do they have any troubles with the sun visor interfering with the top gauge? I want to add gauges to my Ex and would like to have 4 instead of three. I am torn on using a pillar mount or mounting 3 or 4 behind the mirror.
I just finished head gaskets, studs and a new oil cooler and have added the SCT tow/haul mode and would really like to start monitoring the motor better than the factory units. Does anyone recommend a different tune to use? I also have a 4" free flow exhaust, blue spring, 200 degree Mishomoto thermostat and Air Raid intake.
I assume the first 4 gauges would be are fuel pressure, boost, EGTs and engine coolant temps. I plan on using Isspros EV2 series to match the factory colors.
Does anyone use an Aeroforce Scangauge and are they available in the Ford green coloring?

Thanks in advance.

What is this tow haul mode you speak of

It was in the SCT( along with a " Looney Tunes program " ) that came with my Ex when I purchased it. I haven't had a chance to research what is available for the SCT.

Personally I would swap the engine coolant for a transmission temperature gauge. The stock dash gauge does a good job of keeping an eye on things - it certainly saved me when my 7.3 wanted to 'lets play volcano'

Have you considered the ScanGauge II? From what I've seen on several friends' in addition to reading up on it, it will track a bunch of parameters while saving you a ton of space.

Thanks in advance.
Here's mine.

After setting them to color match the dash.

As for interference - yea, it is a little hard to get it all the way forward, but I just angle it back just right and it works fine for blocking light.
No real interference when blocking on the Drivers window though.

Thanks
Can't wait to do the F650 mod to put a couple other temp gauges.

Since the OP has a 6.0L PSD, close monitoring of his engine oil temps and engine coolant temps is pretty vital. Making sure the degree difference between the two temps stays in the safe zone means the stock gauge is completely useless.

Didn't know that, but it still makes the SG more appealing as it can monitor both of those and takes up far less space...

Can't the same mod be on the 7.3's?

I was referring to the oil and coolant temps being more vital on the 6.0 than on a 7.3... Agreed on the blue spring tip off, as was the SCT tuner. And the head gaskets.

And the studs

And the oil cooler

Those would make one assume, yes, I agree, but those mods can be done on a 7.3L too. However, once the Blue Spring mod was referenced, that sealed the deal since that term is strictly a 6.0L mod

Similar mod (changing the spring in the regulator) but it's not called the Blue Spring mod. That is strictly a 6.0L modification because the replacement spring from Ford is blue in color.

The Frx is one thing - and I knew about that, but you can bump up the pressure with a spring mod as well.
Granted you don't get all of the benefits without the Frx, but....
Replacement Fuel Pressure Relief housing - Billet Aluminum w/pressure shim springs

I guess ours would be the black or gold spring mod from Guzzle

That's all included in the FRx. Click the link and you'll see all is there.
