ENGINE SWAP

Hello just wondering if anyone might have some input. I bought a low mileage used 351w engine to replace the one in my 1987 F-250 4x4. Before I install it I'm replacing such as oil pump, water pump, gaskets, timing set and normal little parts. It's awful clean inside. Under the manifold and valve covers spotless. My question is did the Ford factory use cork gaskets or has this been opened before. There is cork gaskets used on valve covers, pan and others. The gaskets where installed with sealer adhesive on both sides of the part. Like permatex! It's awful clean inside. Let me know what ya think.

Factory pan gaskets are rubber and I'm not sure about the intake but I don't believe they use cork so it sounds like you motor has been apart.
