Snap-on phillips screwdrivers will outlast Craftsman 3 to 1 and then the dealer will repair it and away you go. Their other screwdrivers are also great, expensive but worth it I think. Sockets & wrenches are overpriced, I think. HF and Craftsman are good for day to day, and Snap-on for special tools.

I have a mix of Snap-on, MAC and Craftsman tools. They all get the job done in normal situations. It is when the bolt head is rusted, ground down, or stuck that the Mac and Snap-on wrenches and sockets shine. I've been collecting hand tools for over 36 years now and don't regret spending the money for the Snap-on and MAC tools. When I have only one shot at getting a nut or bolt loose, I reach for the 6-point Snap-on socket.
