2001 F450 7.3 into a 1997 F450 7.3
Can I take a 7.3 engine from a 2001 f450 and put it in my 1997 f450 7.3 truck.

Yes, but you'll have to convert over to electric fuel since the 01 engine doesn't have the extra lobe on the cam.
