Leaf Spring Question

Hey Guys,
My rear passenger leaf spring in the back has one broken leaf. It is the second one up from the bottom. As of right now the broken part closest to the cab is dangeling free and the one closest to the rear is tight. What could happen if I let this go for another six months or so? I have not noticed any difference in how the truck rides.

My second question on the same topic concerns my plans to lift the truck. I do plan on putting six inches of suspention lift on the truck in the next year. If I have to get them, I would like to be able to get rear springs before I do the lift. As this would help out my project monthly budget. Is there any springs you would sugest that the truck could ride on the truck stock and also be compatible with the truck when I lift it?

Thanks!

Ryan

Leaf Spring Question

Another question,
Could I have the one leaf replaced in the mean time? Or would it make more sence to get new springs?

Leaf Spring Question

most shops here i've found will replace one leaf of a springpack. MY suggestion is go to a wrecking yard and get a whole pack and throw it in (for now) alot of the time when i take springs apart it involves alot of wd40 and 3 feet of snipe and broken bolts (have new ones handy if you do it yourself)
good luck.

p.s. I've driven my f350 work truck with broken leafs in the middle (they weren't coming loose though) for 2-3 months till work was slow enough to get it in the shop. (it was fine)
