Found it !! Hard to hide things on the net. Interesting re-paint on the door. Got the latch and lock cylinder too. At least the door panel wasn't cut for the speaker. Armrest looks like plastic cup broke.
You guys picked up so much from the one side, here is a pic from the other side of the engine compartment
Uh
Battery hold down non existent.
Getting the idea you really want this truck.
That's great but this guy is asking way to much.
It's not a perfect truck. It should be for that money.
Good deal that you don't need a/c.
If we could see the rest we might could give you a better idea of what we would offer the guy.
Trust me we all have plenty of projects and don't "need" anymore.
Always willing to help a brother though.
Whoa
I see why you like it.
It's pretty.
Don't like that they drilled switch holes in the dash.
Don't like that the engine room is not kept up. Its prolly a 360.
Hood scoop indicates a hot rod but the engine room says dog.
Does have grill guard, winch, lights, wheels and tires etc.
I'd have to take a real good look at it before making an offer.
But I'm sure if everything checked out and I did make an offer it would be sub 10K.
How far would depend on the inspection.
Good luck.
The body and interior did seem near perfect to me, again I'm not an old ford pro though. The axels and engine are the parts that I don't know how to go about "diagnosing"/learning about the condition of those parts in this truck. The old man who owns it says he was an ambulance mechanic but there was a lot that he did not know about the truck...like what size the engine is (neither do I) and which axels are in it. The lowest he wanted to go was $11,700. But I'm not sure that he knows the value of this trucks or the parts in it. Maybe there's room to show him where his truck is worth less than the $11,700 price sticker he put on it.

I'm not one to tell a guy how much you should pay for something.
Only you know that.
I'll give you a personal story.
When I was young I had a brown, '73 short box 4x.
I loved that truck. Of course life goes on and I sold it.
I always regretted that sale.
As I got older I started looking for the same truck.
I looked literally for years.
Once I found it (not it, but the same deal) I tried a couple times to buy it and finally the old guy caved in.
I paid to much. Pure and simple, payed to much.
Do I care? Hell no. I got the exact truck I wanted and it's my pride and joy (minus kids).
So what ever you do, just make yourself happy.
Only you know what makes sense to you.
But know this, if you buy it and it's got problems, there will be lots of us here ready to help a brother.
Good luck
It is a nice truck, but it's not nicely equipped if it's an original '75 F250.
A '75 F250 4x4 will have a low pinion, closed knuckle, drum brake Dana44 front axle and a Dana60 rear. Also, it would have a power assist steer system (not true power steering) and very hard to find parts for. With these particular components, anything over a near stock size tire is inviting trouble! The front axle, brakes and steering aren't capable of supporting a 37" tire.
I'd agree with the half price offer, but it would still have to be at least an open knuckle, disc brake front axle with true power steering.
So I have a understanding on the front setup and concerns you are talking about fordrealdrive.
So you believe the Dana 60 in the rear is ok?
So in the front the question is if you want to run 37's, do you change the axel? or just the other components: disc brake, knuckle and powersteering?
With that info and teaching myself in the past 30 min, i have learned more info about axles tonight than i have in my whole life!!

The D60 rear is a good axle and can handle a fair amount of abuse. IIRC, in '75 and older trucks the D60's had 16 spline shafts and in '76 and newer, 30 spline shafts were used. Also, in '76 the F250 4x4s finally got front disc brakes on a open knuckle D44 but still used the power assist steering until approximately mid-year '77.
It really comes down to what the intended use for the truck would be...if it's just a looker, then it's fine the way it is, if you have plans of going offroad and pushing it to its limits then a front axle and powersteering upgrade will be necessary. The most common steering and front axle swaps for these older F250 4x4s ('73-'77.5) is to use the axle and steer system from a '77.5-'79 F250 4x4. The axle is basically a direct bolt in, but the powersteering requires welding and fabrication to the frame.
Wow.... no way I would pay 13K for it, or 11,700 or 9 or even 6. There are nicer truck out there for less.
1. x2 on all forerealdrive said about the axle stuff. Way to much $ for a drum brake front axle truck, let alone no a/c.
2. Front bumper is a hard to find old style Warn winch bumper, with some cobbled up tubes added.
3. Rear bumper is a old stock one with a drop plate and receiver added, nothing fancy there.
4. Possibly has a added passenger side aux fuel tank, see the chrome filler door?
5. Looks to not have the rear tank, see the flush cap on rear filler?
6. Terrible place to put door speakers, that area takes a beating getting in and out a truck.
7. Asking 13K and a you get a rubber strap holding the battery, fail. And not even an antenna fail x2
8. Switch crazy drilled dash, after market door panels. See the square place in it, that is where the speakers are suppose to go. Or be mounted behind them anyway.
9. "390" always sales better than a 360...360 is a dog.
10. Rims and tires are not all that, neither is the Grant steering wheel and a grey seat in an orange truck? How about at least getting it done in brown to match the carpet and door panels?
11. Overall engine compartment is not what I would expect in a 13k truck.
12. If the guy does not know what motor is in it, I bet he bought it cheap and is flipping it to make a buck, let him make a buck off someone else and not you.
