V10 ignition coils
There really is no need for a snap on type connection.
The spring at normal design length is long enough to stay on the coil terminal and set on the plug cap.
The spring should be a good spring friction fit on the coil terminal and need to be pulled on pretty good to get it off.
If the spring end is distorted or short for some reason then replacement or stretching it a bit in the middle area is all that is needed.
When the coil boot is on the coil, the spring should come quite near the boot tip as the plug ends compressing the spring up at least an inch up inside the boot and will engage the spring quite firmly at both ends.
