stalled, rough idle then no start

Well my trucks at it again. I fired it up today for the first time in two weeks and it started fine, was idling smoothly while the cold idle solinoud was on.

I whent inside for about five mins and when I came back out the truck wasnt running anymore, my guess is it died when it kicked down to warm idle

I got it started again after four-five secs of cranking and it was running very rough, I got it up to 2000 rpms and tried to keep it there but it was surging down and up constantly with my foot steady on the pedal. If I let it down to idle it woukd try to die out, it was also making lots more white smoke than ive ever seen it make(usually very littke on a cold startup)

It eventually died so I unscrewed the fuel filter and filled it up with diesel kleen injector/pump cleaner and tried starting it but no go, just more white smoke from the tailpipe. I dont have any fuel leaks that I can find and havnt had any leak problems before. I also have a two month old eletric fuel pump with the old pump bypassed and im getting good pressure at the filter Schrader valve.

I am starting to think my injector pump/injectors are going bad, I had it stall on me once about two months ago but its been great ever since.

And recomendations are extremely appreciated

Update* just started and ran for five seconds then died again, will let the diesel clean sit in the injectors and pump for a day then try again tomorrow

both were at half a tank, I know my rear tanks pickup is fine as I just replaced my tank a week ago and the front and rear senders were both replaced last summer. I am thinking about replacing my fuel filter. I replaced it about a year and a half ago but ive barely used the truck. but when I got the truck the one that was on it was full of gunk so much that im surprised it ran when I drove it back, and now the one that's on it now has a bit of stuff down in the bottom of it, just nott sure if I should replace it already or not

What style electric pump? Filter before the pump? Fuel at schrader valve on filter housing?

Fuel shut off switch got steady constant 12v power and clicking on?
Crack injector when cranking and see if theres fuel there.
I know you said the pickups were good but how are you fuel supply lines?
Try a different tank and see if it runs better.

Its a Mr gasket diesel rated fuel pump, fuel filter before pump, I am getting a good stream coming from the Schrader valve when the fuel pumps running. Im fairly certain my fuek shutoff is workin in the pump as it was starting periodically just running bad and Smokey, and when it doesnt start theres a good amount of white smoke coming from the exhaust which indicates fuel doesnt it?

Rough like this with the smoke?

Possibly sticky injectors or ip going bad or just a really bad fuel filter.

Yes rough like that, not quite as Smokey and it wouldnt run unless I kept my foot on the pedal, I tried holding it at 2000 rpm but it would go down to 800 and back up consistantky whike not moving my foot,

if it is dirty injectors/pump are my hopes too high of wanting to get the winter out of it before replacing the pump and injectors, As long as the diesel kleen works and I get it running okay again?

The issue you see in the video has happened to me twice. Both time its corrected itself over time. Once it warms up a bit it was quite driveable as well.
Would definitely change the filter as well.

One thing to mention is my injector pump and injectors look original and my trucks got 270000. But it would always run great and only had it stall on me once before,

I hope this fixes itself, when my truck stalled it was when it kickeddown to warm idle, I wonder if it would have started running better once warmed up more.... And im thinking ill get a new fuel filter

possibly more than 1 injector sticking, in combination with a tired ip, clogged filter etc. I would start with the filter and go from there. A plugged filter will cause some serious headaches.
