The pass rear stud may not be in the right location for the harness shielding ground, or several depending if CAT got the placement wrong. I wasn't worried, I'd get it sorted when it bolts up
Agreed, the stud locations become more obvious as you assemble everything. One stud in that picture I had doesn’t add up. I believe I was only using 3 of the studs for the wiring harness. The rear passenger side studs I don’t think matter too much unless you have the shroud and my rear driver side stud didn’t have anything mounted on it but this thing has been taken apart before by someone else so I wouldn’t be surprised if something should have been mounted there... possibly the ground for the injector harness?
Mark, the E vans still used the GPCM for emissions, unless there are oddities I don’t know of. The grey motor, and International likes to use grey motors, shows a relay on the pass cover, which is was used on the higher weight VT365 applications with the glow plugs, which didn’t have to meet the same emissions standards. This is also why Prestolite/Leece-Neville was so confused about the GPCM interaction with the 230a alternators on our trucks, they kept saying a relay would not work that way.

I just noticed the GPCM relay as you posted. That would have been the thing to identify it as the International product - I just didn't see it earlier!!!
Ok found the source of that last I take manifold pic. It is from the International truck 04-06 manual. Heres a couple excerpts showing more differences.
