Now I have seen everything. On the way home from Applebee's and my free dinner, I was heading down my street towards my house, and I saw a boy riding his bike while trying to operate his tablet. He must have been about 10 or so.
Almost got run over today. Went down to the local Walgreens to pick up some milk in the powered wheelchair I have. It is a straight shot down the road with only one intersection to cross. I push the button, and wait for the green. The walk sign comes, so I turn on the chair, and start down the little slope of the curb, as soon as I get into the street, a moron in an 80's Camry whizzes by making a right turn, I stopped and he swerved, but it was a little too close for comfort. He didn't stop, and I did not get a full plate number, so I just let it go.
Second time I almost got hit riding this powered wheelchair. The first time about a month ago was at the same driveway where I got hit on the bike to put me in this chair in the first place. I will be so glad when my disability gets approved so I can pick up a nice Ranger to putt around in. Been looking at some Bronco II's from that era as well, but not sure if I would want one instead of the Ranger. maybe buy one as a mechanic's special to tinker with while I keep the Ranger as the DD. The dark red Ranger in Atwater has been lowered to $2,400, was $2,800. God willing, it will still be available when the disability check gets here. Who knows? Maybe it will be down to two grand by then.
Glad you didn't get hit Jim , last week there was a scooter in sac that a big rig ran over one , I don't think the rider made it. Starting to get a little CHILLIE almost time to break out the heaver shirts, Have a great Evening Gents.
Dang Jim, you might need a flag and flagpole on that sucka! In all seriousness it's really on you to make sure you don't get hit. I know the law is on your side, but you're the one that gets greased in a collision with a car. Proceed just like a car, look both ways THEN start moving.
Amazing how many idjets are blowing through crosswalks. Here in town they have stings to nab em. You do have a flag right? For outdoors.
Up in Windsor for my foreseeable future so looks like I`ll either get a small apt or motel room and come home on weekends. I think my dogs will miss me the most. Spending 4-1/2 to 5 hours on road daily just really sucks. Enough bitchin
Look up in sky^ actual wet drops hitting the ground
