long story short....ii took it to the ford dealership on island to get serviced because I had a free service (ha) and it came back....with problems. (took out my air filter...didnt put a new one in. broke the nozzle for my windshield fluid, disconnected random wires and hoses and just left em hanging...)
the only left after that catastrophe is my A/C. its started randomly switching between vent/ and AC after my lovely visit. i was driving down the road and turned my ac on to vent to get it cooled down, once i did i flipped the switch to A/C and after that it started switching. it would stop blowing out of the A/C vents and start blowing up on the windshield....then it would switch.
so....wiring problem? hose problem? where should i start?
Check the white vacuum line running to the vacuum motor located on top of the blower case. If those morons disconnected it or routed it directly to manifold vacuum you will get the symptoms you described.
Holy cow. ..those morons did effe you over. Take photos then consider getting a lawyer. I am not a litigious person but their actions are criminal IMHO.
From what I can see, yes. But there may be other stuff missing that I can't see. You said a Ford dealer did this? That is just unreal. Why would they do that? I hope you can find a good mechanic that is used to these trucks and help you replace all the missing parts.
Ya it was the ford dealership on island...they messed up ALOT.
Ill get pics of the whole compartment for y'all tomorrow if you want.
I'll probably end up taking it to Maui Offroad tomorrow so they can check it out for me. They've done some other work on it and did a good job so I trust them....plus they love my truck lol
so funny story....walked out to my truck after work this afternoon....aaand my battery is dead and no friends around to jump it for me...so no pictures like I promised.
tomorrow though. cross my heart.
anybody have any good online sites i can get a vacuum reservoir that ships to Oahu?
