Sorry Neil. I was wondering what was up with things. Will try to keep you and your family in mind, especially your mom.

Thanks guys, at least now he is free from the ravages of Alzheimer's. On a personal level, it had been difficult to see the person that I knew slowly slip away to the point where he was not recognizing family members. At least he did not suffer long after he had a stroke last week. Talking with my wife earlier, she said that he dad passed away exactly 51 weeks ago.

I understand how Alzheimer's is Neil..

My mom died from it and it is hard thing to go through..

Just remember the good times and the bad memories will fade

Evening Neil!

That is strange that they passed 51 weeks apart, exactly.

Yeah, it is strange. At least he did not pass yesterday because it was my brother's birthday. That would have made it really rough.

That wouldn't have been a good memory to hold.

No, it would not have. I am going with my mom tomorrow to finalize the arrangements for the funeral along with having the upcoming week off.

Last I spoke with her was when we left the nursing home late this morning. She said that she was numb and she was going to her place to take it easy and make some calls.
She received a call from the nursing home yesterday around noon saying they did not expect him to live much longer. I went down after she called and my cousin and lady friend came down too. We stayed until about 10:30 last night and my mom stayed in his room. She Saud this morning that he had a very rough night so I don't think she got much sleep.
