Hey everyone, I have been lurking for several months while I research what exactly I needed to know about the Excursion. I am normally a Mustang guy but am needing to tow a horse trailer and already have an 05 F-150, so here we are. I just got my first X Friday. I think I stole it, I feel like I got a really good deal.
2000 7.3 4x4 Limited with only 95,000 miles. It is the "old lady only drove it to church" story. The best part, I only paid $10,500.
I used to be a mechanic in a former life so I hope to have this thing squared away pretty quick. Anyway, just wanted to show it off a bit and say hello. Thanks for all the great information.
I think that you did steal that thing, did it come with a title or was that a "I know it's floating around here somewhere I'll get it to you soon" kinda deals? Good lucking truck and welcome! There's people around here asking that and then some for a V10 with more miles vs. a 7.3 with less than 100k! THIEF!!!!! LOL!
Thanks everyone! I did actually have a few title issues and ended up with a bonded title but it's not stolen! lol I also learned during this foray into the dark world of the DMV that you can just take any car you want and get a title for it. It's pretty crazy.
Thanks Apocalypse for the heart-felt and generous offer, but sadly, I must decline.
Thanks again for the welcome! I'm in wonderful and exciting town of Waco. Bring on the Branch Davidian and Baylor jokes!
I ordered the Moog sway bar end links, an ABS sensor and brake pads last night. Hopefully I'll spend Friday getting to know this guy.
