A/C vent flow
The temp up front is nice and cold, but my little guy is always sweating in the back seat because there's no air getting back there.
My dad and father-in-law have 94 and 96 F-150s. The air from the vents in those things will darn near knock your hat off. Is this something that is just inherit with the older trucks?
Oh, I lightened up the photos in my gallery today in as well, Photoshop is a wonderful thing...
I'll admit my '79 does not seem to knock my socks off but it will keep you cool in the rear seat. Might want to check the vent tubes under the dash to see if you haven't developed a hole where air is leaking.
Another option is to remove the top. . . . .
take a look at my gallery and let me know what you think. thanks
Mine has a full manual locking hubs. If they were changed out, and not factory, would there be a button somewhere inside? I know my f-n-law's 96 has that, I just thought it was a model difference.
As for it's current set-up, I got real lucky. I'm the second owner of my truck and I got it from a friend. He and his sons used the truck solely for hunting, fishing, and towing everything inlvolved for the trips. It spent almost every weekend in the woods or at the lake...these boys were serious. For years I would see it at the hunting camp and drool over it. In fact, I had to park my Wrangler (that I traded for this) several times in order to catch a ride in the Bronco.
They put on just about everything you see, including the tires as a gift to me the day before I picked it up. I think the wheels are called Razors, and I'm not sure of the cost.
Your truck looks pretty good. Sometimes I wish mine was a little closer to the ground, but then, the upcoming purchase of nerf bars will remedy that. I took some real clear photos yesteday but fell asleep reading to my son and never made it the computer.
The results
Before charge: vent temp @ idle = 74°, under acceleration = 65°
After charge: vent temp @ idle = 64°, under acceleration = 55°
That made a huge difference in the overall temp of the truck, but I'm still going to look at see if there are any obstructions.
