This morning I heard a sound coming from my front end that sounded like a tailpipe dragging on the road.I pulled over and glanced under the truck and everything looked normal. The sound cleared up after several miles. When I got to work I felt the wheels and burned my hand on the right front auto-locking hub. The center hub cap was very warm as well. I just pulled the outer cap off the hub and didn't find anything broken. Could this be a wheel bearing and the heat just generated to the hub? There was no noise on the way home,But the hub was hot again? Appreciate the help.

Sounds to me like you have a wheel bearing problem, or the auto hub has disentegrated. I'd take it off and have a look. Oh, and check your tailpipe, haha

I had the same problem on mine, it happened to me twice and I called a friend of mine that has an auto repair shop and he said to change the brake hoses. I did and you should have seen the gunk that came out of that line. I also drained and flushed the wheel cylinders and since then have not had any problems. I guess that crud and possibly the inner lining on the hose coming loose kind of acted like a check valve and the pads would not retract.

Thanks mantta, I would have never guessed that one. I'll let you know what I find.

I thought he said "Hot Tub". Oops. I was expecting to see pictures of someone with the back of their truck filled with water.
