This kit will fir the Dana 44 and Dana 60 8 lug closed knuckle axles with slight modifications to your axle..

Customers would have to have the O.D. of thier hub turned down and mover their axle shock mounts in a little..
We also recommemned up grading to a bigger brake booster and master cylinder.

These 2 kits have been road tested for over 8 months now on 2 seperate trucks.

This kit utilizes a Dual piston caliper and a slide on rotor.
As always Blackbirds has free shipping to the lower 48 states.
at a cost of $535.00 to your door.

Front Differential brake kits
Blackbirds is out of business doing something in another direction. I would be looking for the 76-77 low-pinion Dana 60 as they should be really cheap as everybody wants a 77.5-79 high-pinion 60.

Supposedly RockAuto has drums:

RockAuto Parts Catalog[ID]=0&ck[idlist]=0&ck[viewcurrency]=USD&ck[PHP_SESSION_ID]=2f9d6ik3diukg0erc9gpvvgfm5
Napa doesn't list them.

Thanks a million Rich,

After muddling my way through Rock Auto's computerized order system, and on the 5th try, I succeeded in ordering 2 of the drums... Yahoo or bust..! I have been looking, and hope these fit, but they are listed for the 44 HD 3500 lb. front end... and that is what I have... Vamos a ver, when they arrive.. I think that I will recognize them if they are right.. A bit tough, buying parts in the USA, and hauling them 1000 miles South on Baja, and finding that they do not fit... grrrrrr.. but that's part of the benefit package for retirees living in Baja... ha ha ha...

Since I found the drums at rock Auto, thanks to Rich, I will be staying with them... no need to swap to disc brakes, when my drums have worked for 45 years, and still do... granted, I cannot 'lock up' the 35's, but have not tried a panic stop yet.. and hopefully, I do not have to, unless its a test...

Please post pics of the drums when you get them. I am very curious to see the quality. Also let us know which ones you purchased, as I saw they vary from $49 to $104 each.

Thanks Baja. Let us know on the quality of them, as I could use them for my 70 CC.

I will post some photos, of the Rock Auto drums, but cannot check them for fit until I get home to Baja. They were listed, for the 67 - 72 Ford F250 4x4 with the Dana 44 HD 3500 lb front end. There were lots of drums listed, for most models, and front axles, and the ones I ordered were specifically for the 3500 lb front end, with the closed knuckle. The front axle I have is from a 1972 truck, that I have restored, with my old 67 cab on the 72 frame & running gear. Same truck, just an upgrade in years. My '67 had way too many hard miles on it, and the 72 donor had a bad cab.. not rocket science to see the benefit, from the cab swap... I'm loving the project truck, as it still has the soul of the old one... other than the readers of this, nobody can tell that the old truck, has had a "Facelift"...
