I've bought 3 non-running trucks for from $250 to $750. All were 2wd and all had poor wheels and bad tires. So, with a solid, running 429, newly-rebuilt tranny, good t-case, and those tires and wheels, I agree $2k is a good price.
I bought an 82 F250 with a 400, C6, Dana 60 straight axle, 6 inch lift and 44 inch monster mudders for 4k. I was stupid, but I was only able to sell it for 1800, didn't have the headers like you have, but it did have a $1200 lift kit on it, and a completely sandblasted frame.
How do the headers look? I might be interested in them if you'd be willing to part with just them?
