Tracking down a slow drain - please help

I suppose you could have a loose plate in the battery or something... works sometimes but shorts out one cell sometimes?
Most of the Autozone, O'Reilly, NAPA stores have "digital" testers that seem to tell more about the battery than the old "load testers" they used to use. One in the Hummer tested fine on the load test but was dead the next morning so I took it back to NAPA and a different guy put the digital tester on it and found a bad cell right away.
