Not saying you have a bad EGT sensor, but your symptoms sound a lot like mine did before it set the CEL. Mine ended up being a bad EGT12 sensor that I ended up replacing myself because the dealer would not.

EGT 12, I don't monitor that one. Yeah the dealer say no code no problems. It been regen every 100 miles for the the last 11 thousand miles.

The truck will do what the computer has been programmed to do. There is a lot of variation in how each of us drive, the fuel and oil each used etc.

Active Regen does not take place until your truck has fully warmed up. So if you are doing short drives, It may not even start a regen until you get close to your destination. At which point it doesn't get to finish since you shut down and go into work. So you have lots of small partial regens.

If you drive longer drives, It will do a complete regen and your mileage between my be much greater than average joe who does lots of short drives.

Couple this with Passive regens and you may really space out how often you see an active regen. Passive regen take place anytime your EGTS are above 572° A lot of folks rarely get above that temperature. Cruising down the freeway at 80 mph is only 500°. But towing a trailer on the hiway at 70 mph equals 800° So somebody towing may be in a constant state of passive regen vs a unloaded empty truck never seeing a passive regen.

This all gets confusing when we consider when soot is created. Diesel trucks throw off lots of soot when they are running rich.( look at any kid with a chip and big injectors rolling coal) So if you jump on your throttle a lot, You are throwing soot down the exhaust pipe but not keeping the EGT temps hot enough to passively burn it off.

I seriously think folks worry too much about regens and when they happen. Let the computer do it's thing.

regen need help.

My short drivers are 30 miles. I let the rengen finish in most cases. I drive 500 miles one way in one day and I will see 4 full regen's. Still no light no problems. Gotta love dealers.

Pressure soot load increase once the truck warms up. I think the SCR turns on and that when the level go up. Level go up most quickly when engine is warn and a slight down hill.

Oil level are good. I use 5 40 syn Valvoline
On the egt sensor I order new sensor. I will replace egt 12
When you say check function of EGR what do you mean? I think EGR shuts down when truck is warm and the SCR turns on.
On diesel I top tier diesel

As I recommended before. Replace the EGT sensor fore and aft of the DPF. They are 35 bucks from tousley ford. Give that a shot and see if it helps.
