My 2015 F350 PSD is making a squeaking noise in the front end area (sounds like drivers door forward area) only when driving. I can hear it a slow speeds. At higher speeds the engine noise most likely drowns out the sound. The sound is not affected by applying the brakes, or shifting in to neutral. It sounds like a cyclical squeak, like something roating might be causing it.
I was wondering if anyone has any ideas what might be the cause? Front drive shaft? Seal? U-Joint?
I hope to get it to the dealer next week, but thought I would check to see if anyone might have experienced this or have an idea of teh cause.

I'm glad to see that you're heading in to the dealership, Vrybusy. What's the current mileage on your truck? I'll see what I can do to help from my neck of the woods.
The truck has just over 5000 miles. I just purchased it in the begining of September. The noise has been there for quite some time (at least 4000 miles)- maybe from the start, not sure.

I'll be happy to escalate this to your regional customer service manager (CSM), Vrybusy. To get the ball rolling, send me a PM with your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, current mileage, and preferred servicing dealership. I'll move this up the line.
I don't know if you have gone to the dealer yet, but every time I had this issue on a super duty it was the carrier bearing on the drive shaft. Have you gotten it fixed yet?
Thanks for that information! I'm heading to the dealer in 30 minutes. I like being able to offer them some options to look at. I'll let you know what/if I find out the cause. Thanks again.
Dealer said there was a bulletin about lubing the transfer case seal. Seems to have worked. So far so good. The paperwork says "....as per SSM 4456" Not sure what that means but I guess that is the bulletin they were talking about. Thanks for everyone's help!

Fantastic news, Vrybusy! I'm happy to hear you're noise-free again.
I have that exact problem and my dealer says his SSM's are 5 digits long. Can you verify the number? I wonder if they are just spraying something on the seal or the shaft snout.
thanks Grant

Welcome to the forum, Grant! I don't have access to service messages, but your dealer should find any applicable bulletins by entering your VIN in our system. What's your truck's model year/mileage? I'll research options to help.
My 15 did the same thing after about 2200kms. It seems to have gone away on its own thou. Not sure if I should mention it when I take er in for its first oil change here at 8000kms.
Was this a humming type noise, like a flat spot in the tire? That got louder in turns?
I may have something like this on my 2012, but it could maybe also be aging tires. I guess I'll have to throw on a new set and see if it's still there.
Mine does a "kwirp-kwirp" sound in the mornings. Seems to be about the frequency of the driveshaft rotation. I'm at 15k now and it's done it since new.
