Just bought a used 2011 F150 XLT with cloth interior. Except for the cover of the center console, it's nice and clean. Looking for ideas on how I can replace or recover the console cover without replacing the entire console.
Thanks
The first thing to try is some cleaners. If that doesn't work you could repaint it. There are a lot of interior paints. I've had good luck with Dupli-Color and SEM Paints.
bg56 - gDMJoe - thanks for the reply... have not yet found how to remove the cover. Any URL or input? Looks like maybe just remove the pin from the hinges?
The flow thru console lid (which I have) ...
The non flow thru console lid ...
The schematics show that the hinges of both varieties appear to have holes in them to accomodate bolts/screws. Just inspected my console and it is attached with torex-headed bolts/screws.
If your's doesn't, removing the hinge pin may be your solution.
FYI ... Consulted the service manual, however, it did not provide particulars for removing just the lid/cover. You may want to touch-base with the body shop of your local friendly FoMoCo dealership and ask.
