That's a great set of standards. Truly. You are a league above most Americans. But have you ever committed one single sin? In all your life?

If so then you are guilty of breaking God's standards. You would be the same as Hitler or Jeffrey Dahmer, etc.

And your good deeds are excellent on human terms, but they don't pay for your sins. That would be a BRIBE if it did. You can't bribe God.

Your only option is to humbly admit your sin and ask God for His forgiveness through the sacrifice of His son.

It is the only option.

If you saw two people about to get killed by traffic, and one was your family member, and you heroically jumped in, and your family member died but the other person lives- how would you feel if that person ignored your sacrifice?

Actively seek God and he will save you and fulfill your life. I've personally experienced it. Yes, I am one of those "born agains". It is very real. I am a mountain of evidence. I used to be just like everyone else. But God made me a new man.

I just plain old cringe when I hear people joking about going to hell. This is not the pracitce round and we really only need to do one thing, believe and have faith.

I can't wait to get to heaven to see all my friends and hope to meet most you fine ford fellas too.

Christianity is a cult for controlling people. Teaching them to be humble and love their enemies instead of the natural instinct to destroy anything that threatens to harm your loved ones.

I think it's kinda sad that what was meant to be a funny thread and a joke on our current political climate has to become so serious. I know tons of devoutly religious folks who tell jokes in good taste.

This thread was simply a posting of a joke. The forum rules state, "No Political, Sexual or Religious topics". As long as it stayed in a humorous vein without the proselytizing, it was fine. Now it's about to be removed. Please keep your religious beliefs and convictions to yourself, this is not the place for it.
