On the other hand, it hasn't been prettied up with a quickie paint job. You see what you get.
A $2500 truck all day

For what the OP wants, I think he should be looking on eBay for a $7500 - $10k truck that is completely done.

Yeah, I'm kind of all over the place. What I actually want is a driver that isn't rusted all to hell. I don't want to bite off a lot of body work. I don't care if it's in primer, painted, bare metal, whatever. Drive-able, rust free, as original and unmolested as possible. Nothing fancy or beautiful. I know some of the trucks I've put on here might make it look like I'm trying to find one that is already done with nice paint and stuff but that's not the case. I'm working with about an $8000 budget and what I'm finding is that trucks are either priced at around $3000-$8000 and rusted all to crap or $7000-$10000 and someone has done a hack job on it to make it look like a finished truck.

Sorry if I'm wearing you guys out with my posts. Don't want wear out my welcome. Lots of helpful people on here and I appreciate it. I've learned a lot just in the past week.

That one is only about 15 miles from me . If it's been in this area all of the time, it's in a dry rust free area. It looks kinda rough to me , if i had time i would take a drive over there and look at it.

I got some pictures of the truck. The only real rust I can see is the front passenger side cab corner. Rusted through. It's had to look at these trucks with just pictures.
