So looks like I have the wrong wheel on my 73 F250, if anybody can identify what I have and give examples of an OEM wheel that will fit correctly (turn signal functionality, horn etc…) I would appreciate it! My guess is that it’s a 67-72ish wheel?
So will any 73-79 wheel work? Did they change the steering column part way through? Likely go to the wreckers this weekend and see if I can pick a part. I have a new turn signal switch on the way, so no rush but the right wheel is going back on!
A 73-79 should fit, the older ones are bigger in diameter and some where around 77 they changed then from 2 single prong horn wire set up to a multie plug connector in a newer late 77-79 cruise control center.
FYI a new repo can be $$$$.
The rest of your column looks stock to the correct year.

I know a 78/79wheel will fit but the turn signals won't cancel... I have one in my 73 and usually forget to cancel 'em cuz I can't hear the turn signal flasher and my dash indicator is dim. 71-77s without speed (cruise) control will swap...
A bare (no horn pad) 71-77 repro retails for about $250.... I picked up an NOS wheel off of Ebay for $160 a few months ago... it even came with a horn pad worth another $100 in repro.
My truck is a weekend work truck for now, I'll likely pick up a second hand wheel at the wreckers. I'll look for an early year truck (73-77) and go from there. Certainly appreciate all the help!

1967/70 F100/350's & 1966/73 Bronco's have a 3 spoke 17" diameter steering wheel using either a horn ring or horn button.
The original 1971/73 F100/350 2 spoke steering wheels were available in colors. In 1974, Ford replaced them with this:
Also check Broncos and Econolines of the same vintage... if ya can find a Bronco in the yard. I've only seen one in the yard recently and it was rusted beyond belief... musta come from a coastal CA town cuz it was rotten.
Had good luck today! Went to the pick and pull and grabbed a pretty fair steering wheel and horn pad (two different trucks and one of them was a u-haul) I also found a clip for the turn signal return (if I need it). Got a dome light cover, cigerette lighter, drive selector cover, and an almost perfect dash pad with one small bubble on the passanger side. I only had a few hours to work with before work today but I'm really happy with what I found! All of it came to $42.65 (WOW!!)

I assume you are aware that this is a 1978/79 steering wheel.
