Can someone point me to info on putting a van body on a truck?

History:
I have an 89 F150 4x4 4.9l Standard. Standard Cab, 8ft bed. Runs great, 4x4 works great. However the body is now rotted beyond repair. I would like to put a van body on it. I'm hoping to find a high mileage, E150 with a fair body for cheap (perhaps I'm dreaming).

I have two questions. 1) Is it best to stick with the same model year? and 2) Is this one of those jobs where if I have to ask, then I probably shouldn't attempt it? I'm ok at body work but no expert.

It sounds like one of those not-to-commonly-attempted-swaps. I'd start with ALOT of measuring. It would also be helpful to probably have a welder handy to make any adapters, plates, etc required for adapting the van body onto the truck frame. It definitely sounds like fun though.
