Any tips on removing the plastic cup holder and storage area on my 97 f350? Any hidden screws? Google it with no luck. Thanks

There's 3 screws in the bottom. I forget if mine were ever hidden or not, but if they were they ain't now! 2 in the front, 1 in the back, all accessible by reaching thru the storage compartment opening.

There are plastic tabs that hold the top of the console trim into the base. Damn near impossible to get off without breaking them.

What he said. My best suggestion is to take a putty knife and put it between the plastic and the fabric and side it along till you hit something. Then pull the knife out a little to get in front of the obstacle. The push in on the knife to push the tab and gently pull up in the plastic trim. IIRC there are 12 tabs total. 3 in the front(impossible to get to). 3 on each side(use method above) and 3 in the rear(impossible to get to)

What do you want to take it off for anyway?

I know a guy with brand new take-off original cloth that wants to recover his seats and console. Hog rings on the seats are easy, upper part of center console not so much.

That's good info for when I look for new seats. I think his were from a 94. I know they have the plastic rods that the hog rings fasten down around

When I re-cover my seats I'm going to buy one that has the console intact, and another that has the cushion intact. So I can mangle the cushion and cloth but gently take out and clean the console. Then rip out the console on the other one but take out the staples holding the cloth on and then gently take out the cushion

You can just glue the cover back on. I do it all the time when the clips brake

Already did. But just like you do things the right way with body work and such, its that **** retentive streak in me that wants it to be just right. And I can buy just the upper portion of the 20 seat for $10 at the JY

Maybe wrong spot?

My center seat wobbles when it's folded down as a console, any advice? It's driving me nuts
