Hello everyone. I need your help. I am planning on taking my engine out of my truck and rebuilding it, but I would like to find a step-by-step procedure on how to remove the engine from the truck. I have a 2wd 1976 Ford F-250 Ranger Camper Special with a 390 engine. I have searched the Internet, but cannot seem to find the engine removal procedure anywhere. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone could refer me to somewhere that I can find this procedure. Thanks!
I have a Haynes Paperback manual that walks-thru the steps. Also have a book that walks thru the removal and rebuild of big block Ford engines. Might check Amazon or your favorite book retailer.
Agree a service manual is first step. Also, take lots of "before" pics to help put everything back the way it came out. Ziplock bags and a sharpie are also great to save and ID fasteners and small parts.
