Any of you bump owners have come across a really good drink holder for these trucks? Heck, even a good fitting floor console would do the trick.
Both of mine (bumps) are three on the tree with manual steering, so hanging on to a drink is not an option. The box full of stuff I sit beside me is where I shove my big gulps now. Tried a couple door drink holders, they were flimsy, not functional.
A store-bought center console modified with 'saddle bags' (weighted with steel, sand, etc.) hanging over the hump would do a pretty good job I think. Apply Velcro if ya got carpet.
Don't know where they came from. I'm guessing just a auto accessory that used to be available back in the day but my truck has them mounted on both doors. They are self leveling. When on a hill or leaning sideways. Cup always stays flat.
We don't flame people here at FTE, at least on 68-72 and the 48-56 forums.. This is the best and nicest forum I have belonged to!
I believe this to be one of nicest, most polite forums I have dealt with. But you know sometimes inane questions will get up the ire of some. And I am sure there are some who would have considered this a silly question.

When I did some boating we used some gimbaled (if that is a word) drink holders. Now if I can find one with a suction cup on it (: hmmm

I bought this gimbaled cup holder for my MTD tractor project and the kit comes with a tube clamp (as shown), a suction cup, and a hook. Its depth even expands with a slight twist so the bottom drops down. Get it at West Marine, a boating store. Heck, ya might even have an unused drilled hole in your dash from a previous owner.
Hello "neighbor"!! I'm on the FTE journey, and I agree this is a Great forum!!! I need to get some photos of the old ugly Bullnose, Do you have any paint advice, See you around!
