UVC Harness - Repaired

When I first began this project I did not know what to expect. I did use separate containers to hold all of the nuts and bolts from the 2 sides. The drivers side came off easier than the passenger side. The PO did remove the passenger side VC and must have used an air ratchet to tighten most of these down. I needed to use my breaker bar and a piece of pipe to loosen 7 of these bolts. Also I did remove part of the air-box which made removing the VC much easier. When I had this side off I saw that the harness was burned in 2 places. The PO used electrical tape to cover some of the bare wiring. While I had the VCs off I did replace all of the glow plugs. I bought Motorcraft which were made in Germany. Yesterday began the re-installation of both VCs. Today I finished the job and the truck started easily without any rough idle nor any codes. The CE light is also off. The inner fender needed to be cut to allow access to the 2 bottom bolts. I used a stubby for the last lower blt. This did turn out to be a slow process in its removal. Is it necessary to replace the foil near the heater box? What could be used to reattach it.
