my 350 has adjustable rancho 9000 xl's that can be stiff as a board or soft as a baby's bottom
good timing - they periodically go on sale and can save you a lot... like now if you hurry--> Rancho Suspension: Off Road Shock Absorbers & Off Road Suspension Systems

My E250 van (a class B motorhome) has Bilsteins. They are MUCH stiffer than the worn out factory shocks they replaced. The ride is very solid, and with the load range 'E' tires, maybe some would call it harsh. But it is exactly what my top-heavy van needed to feel stable in cross winds on the highway. They have about 40,000 miles on them and still seem to be working like new.
I have been very happy with my Edelbrock Performer IAS shocks on my '06 F-350 diesel. They have 200,000 to 250,000 miles on them and seem to be working just fine. However, I just checked and found out Edelbrock has stopped making them.. too bad. Maybe they just lasted too long so people didn't buy enough of them.
