I was thinking about how my intake gets it's air from the fender well and thought that maybe I could pipe it from where it leaves the engine compartment to the front behind the grill or under the bumper. Has anyone looked into doing this? I don't want to pull the plastic skirting off to look under there and not be able to get it back on. I may go to a junk yard and do some research. I figure if this is possible to do it would get my intake air even cooler.
I used to work with a guy that had a Neon (yeah I know) that had an intake on it that pulled air from under the car, he couldn't drive through puddles too fast or it would drown his engine. No point to that, just thought it was funny.
Ram air will only help at higher speeds that is correct.. Grab the air from the fender is just as good.. You would need to many bends to make it effective.....
