my 08 4.6L just started throwing misfire codes after sitting for 2 months. The van doesn't have enough power to go over 45mph and is noticeably misfiring. Codes are P0300, P0307 and P0308. New plugs were put on 5k miles ago. I checked the coils and they all tested fine with a multimeter. I switched the 7 and 8 coils with easier to reach coils, put in 2 new spark plugs and cleared the codes. Still throws the same codes and is down on power.
Any ideas what to check next? I put in fuel system treatment and ran the van for 1 hr and it is still having the problem. My next guess is to change the fuel filter. It appears that the 7-8 cylinders are last in the fuel line so I am thinking it is starved for fuel. How do you check pressure as I noticed no port on the rail?
Any help is greatly appreciated. This is my work vehicle and it was down for rear brake repairs and I can't afford to keep it non running. Thanks!
