Door Speaker wires

Where do they run? I see the hole in the door and a hole in the jam but there is no place for the speaker wire to go. I shined a flashlight up above the vent (you know, the one by your left leg when you are driving) and I don't see a hole for the wire to come in behind the dash. Any help/pics would be great!!

Factory harness.

The factory hole is the large one the dome light wire comes out of on the dvrs side. Look for a 1" to 1 1/2" (?) rubber plug on each side, up under the dash on the inside of the very upper part of the dash.

Here are some factory wiring harness/rubber boot pics. Sorry no behind the dash pics, but trust me the holes are there.

This is not the boot you are looking for, there is another hole on the inside of the cab wall. The factory harness comes into the space in the outside of the A pillar and then comes in the inner hole on the inside of the A pillar.

Make since? I cab get some behind the dash rubber plug pics tomorrow...if it does not.

Yeah, the factory location isn't the easiest to drill. My cab came with an AM radio, when I added the AM/FM stereo during the (ongoing) restoration I had to drill them. So far I've only done the door jambs, I've still got to do the doors.
The location to drill in the jamb is easy to see, there's a deep divot stamped where you need to drill.

Here is the factory holes size and position, according to the tape measure. For the OEM harness and not the A pillar inside holes.

I'm not sure what size they are. I'm away from home for a few months for work or else I'd run out to the garage and check.

I went and looked at my build thread, I mentioned the hole size, its ¾" for the door jamb. The one in the door is larger. I'll have to wait till I get home to answer that one.

Correct mike, 3/4" for the cab side hole, 1 1/4" for the door.

Here are the inner holes and the plugs. 1st pic is the passenger side and you can see the 3/4 hole for the harness rubber plug, thru the bigger inner hole.

The inner holes are 1 7/8" and the the plug is 2" on the big side. You can see the dome light wire too.

These are NOT THE HOLES that the OEM speaker rubber plug go to. This is the inside of the A pillar. And are plugged by the 2 big rubber plugs in the 3rd pic.
