explorer stereo/trim removal question

explorer stereo/trim removal question
can someone tell me how to pull the trim off the dash of a 2002 explorer. i need to pull the stereo out and im pretty sure the trim all pops off but i didnt want to pull too hard and break it.

I've got a 2003, but I believe they are the same. To get the trim off I took a relatively wide paint scraper and put it between the trim and the plastic on the right hand side of the radio. With a little bit of pressure you should be able to loosen the clamps right up and have them let go.
It took a little more pressure than I would have thought, so don't be afraid, give it a good yank. Also, don't use a screw driver as it is too narrow and can damage the plastic.
